The City of Gholson is seeking community members to serve on the Budget Committee. This volunteer committee plays a vital role in helping ensure the City’s finances are managed responsibly and reflect the needs and priorities of our residents.
What Does the Budget Committee Do?
The committee provides recommendations and oversight on matters such as:

Reviewing and advising on the annual city budget

Considering funding priorities for city services and projects

Promoting responsible spending and fiscal accountability

Supporting long-term financial planning for the community
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:

Reside within 1 mile of the Gholson city limits

Be willing to attend committee meetings and participate in discussions
Financial experience is required. Applicants should have knowledge of budgeting and, ideally, experience working with public funds to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
